Novartis Mural of Survivorship
To raise awareness of breast cancer survivorship, Hill & Knowlton on behalf of Novartis Oncology and the Westmead Breast Cancer Institute (BCI) developed the online 'Mural of Survivorship' competition.
The competition provided women with breast cancer the opportunity to share their stories and display their artwork as part of an online mural.
The competition was promoted through the Novartis field force, the Breast Cancer Institute clinics and a grassroots media campaign.
The second element of the campaign involved a "People's Choice Award" giving local communities the opportunity to support the breast cancer patient in their community by voting for their favourite artwork.
With over 60 entries, almost 12,000 visitors and 45,000 page views to the website during the campaign, and 7,327 votes registered in the People's Choice Award, the Mural of Survivorship was a great success.
